About

Ronnie Capaldi is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Business Department, primarily focusing on the prosecution of patent and trademark applications. A Bakersfield native, he graduated from North High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from California State University, Bakersfield.  After college, he spent over eight years in West Los Angeles working as a clinical laboratory scientist, an experience that sparked his interest in protecting innovation and led him to pursue a career in intellectual property law.

During his time at Pepperdine Law, Ronnie served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jimmy V. Reyna of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., where he worked on complex patent matters.  He also contributed to the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary Journal as an editor and author, served as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, and volunteered through Pepperdine’s legal aid program, providing pro bono assistance to California wildfire victims.

Outside of work, Ronnie enjoys spending time with friends and family, and getting outdoors in the surrounding areas.
