Leonard K. Welsh joined Young Wooldridge in an Of Counsel capacity on January 1, 2024. Welsh received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 1977 where he graduated magna cum laude and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Washington & Lee University School of Law in 1980. Welsh was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1981 and was certified as a specialist in Business and Consumer Bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification for 15 years. Welsh has more than 40 years of experience as a bankruptcy attorney and Welsh is AV rated by Martindale- Hubbell, its highest designation, and has been named a “Super Lawyer14 times by Thomson Reuters. Welsh’s practice includes insolvency, bankruptcy, business and farm reorganization, and debtor-creditor rights. Welsh has successfully represented more than 150 businesses and individuals in Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 reorganization cases- the most of any attorney in Kern County.
