About
As a San Joaquin Valley native, Mike has first-hand knowledge of the region’s businesses. Whether in agriculture, real estate, oil and gas, or other business ventures, Mike has successfully represented his clients in a variety of business law transactions and litigation matters since joining the firm in 1987.
Prior to joining Young Wooldridge, Mike was the in-house general counsel for Superior Farming Company, a large agribusiness in the San Joaquin Valley with international operations. Mike has more than 29 years of business law experience, representing clients in both transactions and litigation.
His practice areas include real estate, contracts, formation and dissolution of business entities, agriculture law, non-profit law, public entity law, real and personal property financing, land use, as well as receivership and commercial litigation. Mike’s legal services are typically used by developers, builders, investors, landlords, tenants, lenders, entrepreneurs and others who are involved in commercial, industrial, residential, agricultural, non-profit, public entry, and business activities.
Knowing that all legal matters are important, Mike is serious in the pursuit of his clients’ legal rights and remedies. At the same time, he tries to develop a personal relationship with his clients so that they are comfortable with the present matter and also in returning to Mike and the law firm for future legal needs.
Mike stays active in local civic matters including the Chamber of Commerce and the South Rotary Club. Mike was born and raised in Fresno, California until he relocated to Bakersfield California in 1981.Away from the office, Mike and his wife, Judy, are very involved with their two teenaged children in their many academic, theatrical and sporting activities.
