Stockdale's J.D. Reed Named Young Wooldridge 2008 Hometown Sports Scholar Athlete of the Year

Bakersfield, Calif.—The Law Offices of Young Wooldridge has named Stockdale High School senior defensive back/running back J.D. Reed as its 2008 Hometown Sports Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Hometown SportsWith a 4.5 GPA, Reed was selected from among 12 other scholar athletes who took home weekly honors throughout the season. Reed, who also plays baseball, plans to major in finance and hopes to attend Arizona State or the University of California, Santa Barbara. 

In addition to Reed’s individual plaque and monetary award, Young Wooldridge presented Stockdale High School a perpetual plaque containing the names of all Hometown Sports Scholar Athletes of the Year.
