JERRY W. PEARSON has been named Partner at The Law Offices of Young Wooldridge, LLP.  Attorney Pearson has been at Young Wooldridge since 2007 and has become an integral part of the Business Department at the firm.  Pearson specializes in Business and Employment Law and has served on the Boards of Stockdale Christian School and Kern County Society for Human Resource Management.  Pearson was admitted to the California State Bar in 1995 after graduating from San Joaquin College of Law, Fresno.
 
Partner D. Max Gardner receives a prestigious “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell

Congratulations to Young Wooldridge partner D. Max Gardner for the receipt of an “AV” rating in Martindale-Hubbell. This rating is the highest peer-review designation an attorney can receive through Martindale-Hubbell and is earned only by a small percentage of attorneys in the United States. An AV rating designates that attorney as being very high to preeminent in attorney’s practice as well as one who maintains the highest ethical standards.  Gardner is a certified specialist in Bankruptcy law.
 
Attorney Alan F. Doud completes the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bakersfield Program

Congratulations to Attorney Alan F. Doud from the Law Offices of Young Wooldridge on completion of the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bakersfield Program.  Doud was among a select group of local professionals from throughout Kern County chosen for the annual program.

Leadership Bakersfield prepares participants for positions of leadership by introducing them to Bakersfield’s various challenges as well as to its many resources. The program features a rigorous schedule, with each class day focusing on a particular industry. This broad exposure gave Doud valuable perspective on how his water, public agency and business law practice fits into the Bakersfield community.

Additionally, each class is broken up into groups that perform community service projects. Doud had the privilege of participating on a team that produced a documentary of Kern County history and featured several life-long residents of the County. The documentary is titled “As Time Goes By,” and is available at the Beale Memorial Library and on Bright House Networks’ free On Demand feature.
